Coronavirus (COVID-19): What You Need To Know

Novel coronavirus, COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the recently discovered coronavirus. From what health officials know now, most people who become infected with COVID-19 will not become seriously ill and will not need hospitalization. However, people who are older or have underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.

If you are experiencing fever or respiratory infection symptoms (e.g. cough), please call Dr. Lee's office before arriving or scheduling an appointment to determine the appropriate care setting and testing process. Please check our protocol listed on the Home page. 

 
Symptoms & Prevention

According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, most people with COVID-19 have reported mild symptoms. Symptoms appear 2 to 14 days after exposure.

Coronavirus symptoms include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

* Older people and people of all ages with severe underlying health conditions — like heart disease, lung disease and diabetes, for example — seem to be at higher risk of developing serious COVID-19 illness.
